What is Ledger Live?
Ledger Live is the official companion application for Ledger hardware wallets. It provides a secure interface to manage your cryptocurrency portfolio, send and receive transactions, and interact with various blockchain applications.

Accessing Your Account
To access your cryptocurrency holdings through Ledger Live, you need to connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device. The application itself does not store passwords in the traditional sense.
Important: Your Ledger device acts as the key to your funds. The PIN code you set on your Ledger device is your primary access credential, not a password within the Ledger Live application.
Connection Process
Connect Device
Connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer using the USB cable
Enter PIN
Enter your PIN code directly on your Ledger device to unlock it
Open Application
Open the corresponding cryptocurrency application on your Ledger device
Access Granted
Ledger Live will automatically detect your device and grant access to your accounts

Critical Security Note: Your 24-word recovery phrase is the master key to all your cryptocurrency holdings. Never share it with anyone, store it securely offline, and avoid digital storage to prevent theft.
Recovery Process
If you need to restore access to your funds:
- Obtain a new Ledger device or reset your existing one
- Select the "Restore from Recovery Phrase" option during setup
- Enter your 24-word recovery phrase in the exact order
- Set a new PIN code for your device
- Reinstall the necessary cryptocurrency applications
- Your accounts and transaction history will be restored
